We knew it would not take long for some of the newbies in the “Big Brother 14” house to realize one thing — they don’t want to get played by the coaches like everyone else has in the past.
In what is shaping up to be a rather interesting development, there was a new alliance of sorts formed on Friday night in the hot tubs consisting on Jenn (who surfaced from her coma thus far in the game to actually do something), Ian, Wil, and Joe. Thus far, this group is being referred to as “the inner-tubes” by Britney and Janelle, with this nickname even being shortened to just the “tubes” since they are full of hot air.
So how are the coaches combating this resistance of sorts? By making sure they have at least have a few players who are with them. Dan has already shown his influence with Danielle by having her not put Boogie on the block, though she is going to be tempted to stick either Janelle or Boogie up as a replacement if he ends up winning. Dan has also been talking with Boogie about working with the other coaches, but he is apprehensive about it considering that Dan just lied to his face last week. It’s all but a given that it is in the best interest of the coaches to keep each other, and Janelle especially knows this since most of her team has already turned on her. Ashley, Shane, Frank, and Danielle are the only four of the newbies with any sort of allegiance to the coaches at this point in time.
With all of this information in mind, it’s still pretty ironic that Danielle has two newbies on the block leading to the Power of Veto challenge Saturday. Score one for the coaches — while the newbies may talk a big game, they still have to walk the walk.
