With that in mind, let’s not waste any time to break some of this news.
“Jersey Shore” season 6 – We anticipated that the latest (and possibly final with the current cast) season of the reality smash would come back on either in the fall or in early next year, and now we know for certain — we’re going to see more of The Situation, Pauly D, and the rest of the guidos and guidettes beginning on Thursday, October 4 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time. This is the first time since the show’s first season that we have seen the gang air during the fall, which is going to be rather competitive thanks to what is going on with the major networks.
“Snooki & JWoww” season 2 – There is no premiere date announced here, but MTV did make it official that there is going to be a season 2 coming that focuses on Snooki’s early days as a mom. The show will probably premiere early next year, at least given that they are rumored to start filming the show this month (even though one of their filming locations in Morristown has apparently fallen through).
In a statement, the network’s present David Janollari had this to say about their current slate, and what their goals are with mixing some of this reality programming with scripted fare:
“MTV has been a beacon for each young generation throughout its history, and this Millennial generation is no different. Our distinctive blend of reality and scripted shows gives voice to the excitement and possibilities that frame their everyday lives … We strive to reflect their hopes, dreams and struggles, with a mix of humor, authentic voices and engaging stories that you can’t find anywhere else on TV.”
