If you ask any diehard fan of “Once Upon a Time” just what they are looking forward to the most when it comes to this coming season, they are probably going to tell you one thing — seeing Captain Hook emerge on the show for the first time.
Now, the good news is that we know for sure who is going to be the man behind the role, even though it’s quite possible that you have never heard of him before. The coveted role has officially gone to Irish actor Colin O’Donoghue, who may be best known to audiences in America courtesy of his work on “The Tudors.”
We don’t really know just a ton just yet when it comes to this character, but here is what we can say about him … for now. Captain Hook is known from the “Peter Pan” franchise for being part charming and also part evil, and he is incredibly ruthless when it comes to him getting what he wants. Although at times he may come across a little cartoonish, he is in reality one of the most vile and feared villains from the world of ABC’s parent company Disney. It will be intriguing to see a new twist on the character now, mostly since he has been mostly-untouched since the controversial Robin Williams film “Hook.”
As for when you will see Hook work some of his magic (pun word intended) on the show this season, he is expected to make his first appearance during episode 4, and could ultimately stick around for a while afterwards depending on the story as well as the viewer reaction.
