This show needs to take a note from Poldark or even the Vikings SM accounts. They dropped the ball on fun social media interaction after S1. S2 interaction was horrible. We got silverware and floral arrangements, not to mention months of radio silence. They take the fun out of all things normal in a fandom. I don't really think they understand what fandom even means and since most of their fans have never been in a fandom before they play off that to get away with the minimal interaction. They tried a bit in S3, but they still don't seem to have a solid consistent strategy in promo or interaction. I've never seen a production that makes fans feel bad for wanting to get new info or for getting excited for things we're looking forward to. Or a more tone deaf SM account. I'm not expecting much promotion during the GG's. Since it's only Caitriona they won't think she's worth it to promote her or their show. Just like the failed to promote her last Golden Globes and during her Oscar Wilde award. They only play to a certain demographic. I've given up on this show doing any normal interaction with their fans.

I think the development of the Outlander fandom is a beautiful thing (and sadly, sometimes ugly) to watch. The glue that holds us together is the respect that the actors and production crew have for the fans. Their respect is met by love. I'm sure Sam and Cait have some SM obligations such as re-tweets of the Starz-Outlander posts but much of what they do is for the fans and has been from the start. Its great to have a production that's so active on SM, it adds to the fun!
