I agree with you. Much as I loved the other two seasons, this one was my favorite. It wasn't perfect. In the episode "Creme de Menthe," for instance, the places they had to stitch together plot lines to compensate for massive sections that were not portrayed from the book were a bit awkward for book readers. Many hated that episode, but I enjoyed it for what it was: setting the stage for what was coming during the rest of the season. I would have been happy if they'd added a few minutes to the last episode so the section in Jamaica and all that played out there wasn't quite so rushed. However, I'm not a professional screenwriter. It may not have been possible.

Diana Gabaldon's novels all come together in the end, but she goes off on tangents that, while they pay off eventually, aren't necessarily part of the main story. It's an incredibly difficult task the production team members have set for themselves to adapt her work. While there a few scenes from the book I would have liked to have seen included, and a few others that were of less interest to me, that's true of any adaptation. There isn't, as you say, a "perfect" TV show. This comes as close to that as any. Kudos to the production staff, especially the actors! And thanks to you, Matt, for bringing little tidbits to the viewers all season long.
