That’s how Bree is on the first books. Bree is a lot like Jamie, but she was raised by Frank and Claire, so her personality is a blend of her three parents. Sophie said she portrayed Bree as hard hitting and stoic as Jamie is on the shows (and she based her performance on Sam’s). Given she’s excited for season 4 given how important is Bree, it means that Sophie wants to portray that more emotionallyopen up version of Bree like we saw her on 3×05. She feels protective of the character so maybe if people won’t treat her like the black sheep of Outlander, to say that everyone on the show are good but her, Sophie might feel more confident. She was terrified when she started season 2, and given the things she got told, she was right. But with season 3,

Sophie got more appreciation from the fans and she felt better on how to play the character and even some of those who doubted her, now they love her.

I’m sorry to say it but I personally find it Brianna sometimes being quite bratty and frankly unlikable.

I wish Sophie all the best and I hope she can pull this up, especially in the next season, otherwise we screwed.
