‘American Idol’ notes: Carrie Underwood, Jessica Sanchez, Jennifer Lopez

For our Saturday edition of “American Idol” notes, we are not just putting the focus on two of the most-popular contestants to ever hit the show’s stage — we are also talking a little bit about a former judge still speaking out about her experience.

Jennifer Lopez speaks out – Now that the news pertaining to J.Lo’s departure has been made official on the show, she is taking some more time out to recognize what being a part of the show meant to her.

Speaking per Billboard at a recent concert, here is what Lopez had to say to the audience about why she needed to get back to performing before she did anything else:

“It was an amazing experience for me, and I’m going to miss it very, very much. But at the end of the day, this is what I do. This is where I belong — right here, with all of you.”

There are still questions as to whether or not Lopez quit or was fired, and the real answer seems to be somewhere in between. Producers for the show likely recognized that it was time for them to move on after declining ratings, and Lopez wanted to go back and do other things.

Carrie Underwood’s video premiere – For those of you desperate to see the debut of Carrie’s “Blown Away” music video, here’s some good news coming your way — it is set to premiere on E! News Monday, July 30 at 7:00 p.m. Eastern time, and it will be available exclusively through the station’s website for the 24 hours that follow before being made available on VEVO and all of the other standard platforms to watch music videos.

Jessica Sanchez lands new endorsements – Even though the season 11 runner-up has still yet to even visit the Philippines, she has reportedly already signed an endorsement deal with a local clothing company known as Bench.

In a post on Twitter, here is what the company had to say about welcoming Sanchez to the fold:

“We are thrilled to welcome the voice that has won the hearts of many. Truly proud to have @JSanchezAI11 part of the #Benchsetter family!”

This is one of Sanchez’s first official endorsements, and we are likely to see many more come her way if her debut album ends up becoming a great success.
