‘Dancing with the Stars’: Bristol Palin, Kirstie Alley, full ‘All-Stars’ cast

As a part of their Television Critics Association panel on Friday, ABC decided to announce their full cast for their upcoming “All-Stars” version of “Dancing with the Stars” — and overall, it’s a pretty interesting group. There are a few people who really are not that memorable, plenty of winners (despite claims that winners would not be included), and also some really inspired choices that should make this pretty competitive.

Before we get to the three stars who will be voted on by fans — with one of them returning to the show — here is the rest of the full list.

Kirstie Alley – She was previously with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, and they made up one of the most entertaining partnerships in show history.

Pamela Anderson – When she was on the show last, she had a partner no one remembers in Damian Whitewood. Will she actually get to work with a famous pro this time?

Helio Castroneves – The IndyCar champ needs to bring back the banana suit!

Joey Fatone – The former ‘NSYNC  member who has been dancing somewhat regularly since his time on the show ended.

Shawn Johnson – The Olympic gymnast recently retired from her sport, and she is one of the most surprising winners ever on the show in beating out Gilles Marini.

Gilles Marini – With this in mind, Marini’s inclusion really seems appropriate.

Kelly Monaco – We would have preferred to see John O’Hurley from the first season, but Kelly will do, as well.

Drew Lachey – Drew has been associated with the franchise for some time since its exit, and even for a time guest-hosted he show alongside Tom Bergeron when Samantha Harris was giving birth.

Apolo Anton Ohno – He fills another athlete position, and like Helio he also worked with Julianne Hough. Who are these two going to be paired with now?

Bristol Palin – Considering that a man shot his TV the last time that she was on, let’s just hope for the sake of drama that she is gone early.

Melissa Rycroft – Wow, “Dancing with the Stars” really loves Shawn’s season! Melissa finished behind both her and Gilles.

Emmitt Smith – The former Dallas Cowboys star won last time thanks to a ton of support from NFL fans … and he should be tough to beat again.

The final inclusion for this season is going to be someone who is voted on by the public, and it includes three people who were all memorable for different reasons — Carson Kressley (for being entertaining but not really the best dancer), Kyle Massey (for being entertaining and also a surprisingly good dancer), and Sabrina Bryan (for being a great dancer eliminate far too soon).

While the cast is not necessarily stuffed with A-list names, the show did at least assemble of group of performers who are familiar to diehard fans of the show, and there are enough personalities here to keep things entertaining.
