If you were on Twitter Wednesday night, you probably realized that there were a good many users watching “America’s Got Talent” for one reason and one reason only — to check out a brief clip of Justin Bieber’s video of “As Long As You Love Me” featuring Big Sean. Both Bieber and the show itself promoted it happening in the days leading up to the show — but when it came time for the clip to air, it didn’t happen.
So what was Bieber’s reaction to this? Let’s just say that he wasn’t exactly happy that so many of his fans ended up being disappointed:
“very frustrated. where was it? no joking here.”
The show responded to the complaints and the controversy on Thursday morning, and they blamed the video not airing on “technical problems” during their apology. It’s a pretty vague thing to say, and what we are really curious about more than anything else is why they waited until almost 12 hours after the video initially was supposed to air to actually say anything about what happened. To this point, Justin has had a great relationship with NBC — he gave his first TV performance of “Boyfriend” on “The Voice,” and his “All Around the World” concert special aired there earlier this summer.
Noneheless, Bieber is promising that the video will be worth the wait when it premieres, and that diehard fans will no be let down again. There’s no word yet on when it will premiere, but you can probably expect it to be some sort of major TV event as was his “Boyfriend” video when it launched.
