‘Snooki & JWoww’ season 2 planned for after ‘Jersey Shore’ season 6

Even though the first season may still be airing on MTV, it appears as though the network has not had enough of Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi or her antics just yet. As a matter of fact, “Snooki & JWoww” may even be planning its second season to cover the early stages of the reality star’s motherhood.

According to a report from Basking Ridge Patch, the show has already asked for permission to film in the town of Morristown, New Jersey beginning on August 9, and production for what may be the second season of this spin-off series is expected to run through mid-October.

So why this town? It does not appear that Snooki and her fiance Jionni LaValle are living in this city, but they could spend some significant time here and production wants to ensure that they are covering their tracks. This season would cover everything from Snooki giving birth to her earlier stages of motherhood — which is bound to be chock full of comedy. What we are a little bit unsure about is just how she is going to be able to handle the challenge of being a mom and having to try and adjust to this life in front of millions of viewers. Few reality stars have taken on so much at one time, even though Snooki is probably getting a pretty fat paycheck in the process.

This filming will be picking up only slightly over a month following “Jersey Shore” season 6, which shot in Seaside Heights as potentially the last summer there for the full gang. These spin-off series do not have the same sort of high ratings attached to them, but they are more cost-effective for MTV and they still fare better than a good percentage of their other programming.

If this second season of “Snooki & JWoww” (which has not even technically been renewed yet) does happen, it will probably air on the network in early 2013.
