If there was one day to prepare a Showtime subscription for, it’s September 30 — not only are we getting set or the penultimate season of “Dexter” to premiere, but “Homeland” is also going to return for what has to be one of the most-anticipated seasons of the fall.
In the video below, you can at least get an opportunity to see just what is going on at the moment in Carrie’s mind. Claire Danes’ character may have underwent shock therapy at the end of the show’s first season to try and forget about everything that she went through in the CIA, but it clearly did not work as well as she had hoped. The most chilling moment comes at the very end, when we see a flashback to her telling Brody (Damian Lewis) “you are a traitor and a terrorist, and now it’s time to pay for that.”
Rumor has it that season 2 is going to pick up with Brody in a position of even greater power, whereas Carrie is far removed from the world of espionage while working as a teacher. As for whether or not he expect things to stay that way, we maybe give it about two weeks before we see Carrie dragged straight back into this world. After all, who really wants to see her teach for an entire season?
“Homeland” is currently a contender for Outstanding Drama Series at the 2012 Primetime Emmy Awards, and while it may be a darkhorse to win there over “Man Men,” Danes is very much a favorite in the Outstanding Actress category.
