‘Pretty Little Liars’ spoilers: Troian Bellisario teases midseason finale

Usually when you think about “Pretty Little Liars,” you typically think about one story and one story only — the “A” mystery. However, be ready to see something a little bit different on the midseason finale airing a little bit later this summer.

Speaking in a new interview with Wetpaint at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night, Troian Bellisario teased a different sort of story for her character Spencer and the other girls that we have seen on the show before:

“…In the mid-season finale, I will tell you that the ‘A’ mystery is put on hold for this really frightening, other series of events that I did not see coming. It crops up and it just proves that danger is coming at the girls from all angles and not just ‘A’. I don’t even know if ‘A’ is aware at this point.”

So what does this “series of events” revolve around? At this point, it’s too early to really even know for sure. The only feasible options are that it could either involve Alison’s death (which seems to very much involve “A” in some form), what’s going on with Ezra having a giant stash of money, or the case of Maya’s death that was brought up just as Mona was getting found out for being the original “A.”

Bellisario also said that the Halloween episode featuring Adam Lambert is going to be a standalone hour, bu should have an interesting story all of its own when it airs in the fall.

What do you think Troian could be talking about when it comes to this twist? To check out some sneak peeks from Tuesday night’s new episode of “Pretty Little Liars,” be sure to head on over to this link.
