I loved this episode,but have only 2 tiny “gripes”?I so wish Jamie & Claire’s “fight” in the bedroom had been “longer”(love❤❤????when they fight & “make-up!)and also that jenny would’ve stayed away for a bit longer,so J&C could keep “doing” what they were “doing”!LOVED the way he grabbed her,kissed her,she slapped him,he missed her again,and….we all know the rest! These two have such INTENSE CHEMISTRY,in these “fight scenes”,that I NEED MORE…please! They blow us away! Oh,one more thing,I wish all episodes were 2 hours long,too! Not asking for too much,am I?!??????????????????????????

The only thing I missed from this episode was Jamie’s response to Claire’s statement, during the argument, that Laoghaire tried to have her killed. In the book, Jamie responded with something like, “If I had known that, I never would have married her.” I guess the show’s writer was going for that comedic aspect in Claire’s response (“I told you to thank her – not marry her!”). Frankly, these actors – Sam and Caitriona – astound me for their ability interact believably, even in the midst of passionate parrying. Both Sam and Caitriona were strong in the “alone” episodes – especially Jamie with Willie – but the two of them together, having that heated discussion in this episode, was truly psychological and romantic poetry in motion. Bravo.

I thought this was one of the best episodes of all three seasons as it moved the relationship between Jamie and Claire forward to what it becomes in the rest of the books, doubts removed and a unit formed of Mr. & Mrs. Fraser. A lot of fans seem disturbed by some of the departures from the books, but I understand that visual media is much different from literary media. The one change that I applaud is the depiction of the Asian character. I thought his whole plot involvement was pretty silly, the short stature, the blue silk pajama like garb, the tumble saults and foot fetish did nothing to move the story on. I was glad to see that in the series he proved to be intelligent, personable and when Jamie told him to be careful, that the law might be after him, he answered “aye” which was the perfect response for someone from a foreign land living in Scotland. All in all, the series has improved every year, every episode. Well done by all involved.

Hope they keep on going up!! Would love to know the numbers of total viewing, how many watch on app, how many times it is replayed!! I think it is a phenomenon that people watch each episode sometimes 10 times. Absolutely amazing!!
