Even though it may feel like season 2 of “The Voice” just finished filming (mostly because it did), the producers behind the hit show are already working feverishly on another season with the same coaches that we came to know for the first two years.
So with the following bit of information in mind, there has been one question that just about everyone has been asking for weeks now — are Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine actually getting along now? In speaking to TVLine in order to promote this new season, show host Carson Daly admits that there was so pretty obvious tension there — but also suggests that things really are better now between the two of them after exchanging some nasty words throughout the live shows for season 2:
“You could see it. You could feel it. I’m not gonna lie to you, and you’d read into my bulls–t if I told you that there wasn’t any [tension] … I didn’t know what to expect in frame one of Season 3. I was curious to know if the first time they had an exchange, would you be able to feel any resentment, but it just wasn’t there. It’s better. It’s like they went to couples therapy.”
One of the questions we have been wondering for these blind auditions was if this fight had somehow changed the way in which some contestants actually decided to pick the coaches that they wanted to work with. If picking Adam meant that Christina was against you, for example, you may be more keen to work with Cee Lo Green or Blake Shelton if you had a choice.
Thankfully, Daly also confirmed that there are some other changes coming to the show this year — including more live performances, fewer contestants who will be appearing during the live rounds, and a reworked battle rounds portion of the show that may allow for some more competition between the coaches over individual contestants. In other words, they may actually be trying to make this part of the show fun!
