If you are a fan of “Supernatural,” we like to imagine that you are also a supporter of all things Misha Collins — and thankfully, new showrunner Jeremy Carver is not forcing us to wait too long before learning just when we will see his Castiel back on our TV screens.
Speaking within a chat with E! News, the man behind the angel expressed that he would be around in the second episode of season 8, but he would not look completely he same as he did the last time we saw him in season 7:
“There will be some physical differences. Maybe not hugely significant. This is a really lame teaser, but it’s true.”
Anyone who follows the story of the show that Collins’ journey has been all over the place. After first joining the series in 2008, he quickly became a favorite of fans before going completely and totally off the rails during the season 6 finale. Following that, he was seemingly killed off early on the following fall, only to return in a surprise capacity earlier this year. There’s no better way to describe Cas other than a character with nine lives, but he is such a joy to watch that it is impossible to watch the show without him in some regard.
Like with Cas, “Supernatural” will be going through some changes itself in the fall. In addition to now having Carver running the ship, the show has moved its timeslot from Fridays back to Wednesday nights, where it will follow up the ambitious new superhero show “Arrow.”
How much of Cas do you want to see this coming season? To check out some more comments from Collins from Comic-Con in San Diego this year, be sure to follow this link.
