Sometimes, a music video can actually be far more impressive than it looks upon first glance — and this is precisely how we feel about the “Eye of the Tiger” video that is going to be shown off on Tuesday night’s new episode of “The Glee Project.” While this entire clip is a little bit cheesy in between its gym theme and even the predictable “Rocky III” song choice, but what makes it interesting is that nearly the entire video is shot all in one take. The only time there really appears to be a cut in the entire thing is when Ali shoots a basket at the very end — a sign that makes her our prediction of the homework assignment winner for the second week in a row.
Considering that the theme for this week is “Tenacity,” it only seems appropriate to try and have the contenders do this video all in one take. Not making any mistakes when it comes to acting and blocking is not an easy thing to do, especially when you have Aylin jumping over hurdles, everyone catching balls, and Blake trying to sing in an uncomfortable position. This is all about focus, drive, and being willing to go for it and not be afraid of messing things up.
So why do we think is in trouble based on this video? While we hate to see any more of the guys leave, it really seems to be a two-person race between Michael and Abraham. Neither one of them stand out in the video, and with Abraham it’s almost easy to forget that he is even there.
