The casting news for season 2 of “American Horror Story” just keeps coming. Following the news that we are going to see such new faces as Adam Levine and Mark Consuelos appearing in the newly-minted Emmy juggernaut, we now have some more scoop that should make fans of a certain show that was canceled far too soon happy.
According to a report from TVLine, former “Carnival” star Clea Duvall has been booked for a mysterious role on the drama. How mysterious? The only thing we really know about her thus far is that she is going to be doing a good majority of her scene work with Sarah Paulson’s character.
Production for the FX drama (which still does not have a specific premiere date) officially started up earlier this week, and is definitely still in the early stages as the actors continue to comb through their scripts. We know that we will be going back in time to the 1960s, and much of the traditional horror action will take place inside of a hospital for the criminally insane. Not only is Jessica Lange going to be overseeing many of these patients, but she will be doing so as a nun — a far cry from the character that she played he first time around.
Some of the other faces you can expect to see for this season include Chloe Sevigny, Zachary Quinto, Chris Zylka, Evan Peters, and Oscar nominee James Cromwall. In other words, Murphy has put together what may very well be one of the most impressive casts ever for a cable series.
