I don’t care one way or the other if this foreign TV show gets renewed. It’s not shown here and I’m not inclined to watch an old, dated show on TV when we have so very many great shows to juggle as it is.
Maybe during season hiatus on Netflix if I’m not already invested in something else; but Absentia’s ship has sailed and smells stale to me now. So does the mythical network that is rumored to have signed it (????) yeah…right! It’s so secret they can’t show it! (??)
But for all the other countries it’s in, ask them. Who’s in it, btw?
Aww shucks! I don’t care.

For sure it should be a 2nd season….. and a 3rd and so on… loving the show… is one of the best things on tv so far.

At this point, seeing as it’s nearly November, I’d just be happy with actually getting to see the first season of Absentia, before wanting season 2. Though knowing it gets another season would make me slightly more inclined to stick around.
However, I am still unsure of what this unknown US network’s goal is if the show is being aired and is presumably half way done in some countries and then there are others like America who have yet to see one episode.
I hope that this US network does have a plan and that they intend to air Absentia soon because I think the buzz will be winding down soon and will hinder any chances for getting a second season, although I hope that is not the case.

A second season would be smart on the part of Sony/AXN simply based on the strength of Stana’s performance. Angle is a pleasant surprise as well. Now, smart has not been a strong suit for Sony lately, but there is new management.

I would agree that more people would be willing to invest in this season of Absentia if they knew there was going to be another. A second season announcement would be a strong marketing move before a US/Canada/UK etc release. In a strange way this announcement would be the sort of thing that would mesh with the “pirated” release of Absentia in Europe and Asia.

Nothing standard about PR for this show.
