I’m kinda of the opinion that as long as she doesn’t get killed off, like nearly every other female character on this show who’s been around more than a few episodes (I mean, even Paula, who was in like 6 or 7 episodes ffs), I’ll be good with whatever. I just hope they give her a better send off than they did Michael/Tony.

I would add a different option – that she has a chance to find her biological parents. It could be that doing so brings her to a different job, but I think that is the catalyst that makes the most sense to me.

No matter what actually happens-knowing that Showrunners Frank Cardea and George Schenck have been writers for NCIS since season 1 working right alongside the cast–the fact that Pauley is staying through the entire season and is obviously still very much invested in her character and how she’s written I have faith whatever way her exit is written it will do Abby proud!

I would definitely like Abby leaving because she has been an opportunity unique to her talents—perhaps even being in charge of her own independent lab. Pauley is so very much attached to being an activist for animal welfare and social issues in real life–and many of the best “Abby-centric” episodes have dealt with that connection (i.e. “Shooter”). I could see Abby leaving NCIS (as much as she loves it) to take a job where she feels she could make a direct impact in either/both those areas.

Have her meet her dream person who she finds her dream job with .. marriage and dream job how can you go wrong !
