There’s so much going on. I would love to see SVU become a 90 minute show or something more than an hour. The one part of the story that I felt should have been deeper was that of the rapist himself and his mother. You only catch him at the very end and then he dies. Last weeks episode felt the same way – rushed. Benson’s issues are overshadowing the story lines of the rape vicitims and the rapists because of the time constraint.

One last thought – Everyone is concerned with Benson’s time commitment to her son – Granted she’s a single mom but it seems that Women are blamed for not giving enough time at home, SVU never really delved into the time commitment with Elliot Stabler and the relationship with his 5 children. In fact it almost went out of the way to show he was “super dad” Seem’s a bit sexist to me.
