Heidi Klum has never been one to shy away from speaking her mind, and she is doing so yet again when it comes to her upcoming tenth season of “Project Runway.” Ever since the fashion design competition began, Klum has said “auf wiedersehen” to countless contestants over the years — but this time around, there was one contestant who didn’t really give her an opportunity to do so. As a matter of fact, they pretty much packed up and left the competition in the middle of the night.
So what exactly did Klum have to say about this eixt? In an interview on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” this week, the model proclaimed that there were some “cowards” on this new season when it came to holding themselves up against the standard set by some of the other contestants, and some of it may have been due to them allowing doubt to creep into their minds:
“One person was very intimidated by the other designers and felt that he or she was not as good as some of the others … and then [whistling noise] gone.”
This person was not the only person to up and quit the competition, as the New York Post claims that another hopeful left after having a meltdown and talking to a psychiatrist that was brought on set.
When you consider that there are scores of designers around the country who would beg to be on a show like this, Klum takes it as a personal affront that there are people who suddenly decide that they don’t want to be there. It also completely alters the plan in which producers have in place for the season, and they have to work around the contestants who are left.
