I absolutely loved this show and looked forward to it every week. I hated when TNT started taking the episodes down from On Demand within a couple of weeks of airing. I’ve been a loyal fan of the cast and watched The Closer regularly too. It was such a unique, original idea to transition an already existing hit smoothly into another show with the same characters and a different female lead. McCormick is fantastic in every part she’s played and in my opinion, didn’t get the critical acknowledgement….awards etc for her part in the 6 seasons of original, interesting and often quirky storylines and making them work. Spoiler alert: Killing her off the way they did stinks. A better, ground-breaking idea would be to bring back Kyra Sedgwick (who’s gotten screwed over by ABC with the abrupt cancellation of her excellent show 10 Days In The Valley and therefore might be ripe for the picking) to reprise her role transitioning the show, cast and crew into a new direction. Win, win all around huh? Guaranteed money maker for the network, the stars and a treat for the fans. Seems like it would be worth a try and the PR alone would attract loyal and new viewers. Too bad the “creative forces” in tv fold so easily. I’ll miss the show a lot.

In reply to James. I may be wrong, but at this point I don't think Duff owns the series to be sold. In most cases the network/station that airs it does. TNT would have to allow another streaming service to continue the show and they would want to be compensated for that. They (TNT) have likely already sold the rights to the show abroad so it's a complicated process. Warner Bros. is also a complicating factor. They are not generous with their product after production.

How sad. i enjoyed this group. Rusty is a great character and has grown greatly since his first appearance with the life style he had.

The thing that IS surprising is that it doesn’t appear that creator James Duff made any efforts to sell the show to other cable stations or other outlets like Netflix or Hulu.
