‘The Bachelorette’ finale: Jef Holm, Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s last chance

Now that we have finally navigated our way through the “Men Tell All” special on “The Bachelorette,” we are finally inching closer to the question that really everyone wants the definitive answer to  — who does Emily Maynard pick between Jef Holm and Arie Luyendyk Jr. as her potential future husband? Both bring to the table plenty of great attributes, but at the end of the day we all know that there can only be one.

Based on the extended promo for the episode below, here are a couple of things that you can expect for sure.

Family – For the first time ever, we are going to meet Emily’s parents! If you remember back to Brad Womack’s season, she elected to have her hometown date with just the two of them and Ricki rather than with the entire family. (However, reports are that Brad did fly out Emily’s father and ask for her hand in marriage off-camera before he actually go down on one knee and proposed.)

The big decision – Based on an impromptu conversation with Chris Harrison, we would be inclined to guess here that Emily is actually going to do during this episode something that we saw with Ali Fedotowsky two seasons ago — namely, that she is not going to end up going on full dates with both of the guys and will send one of them home before the proposal. This is certainly a nice gesture when it comes to sparing them the embarrassment of getting rejected while on one knee, and it is another gesture to the eventual winner that she did not want to flirt around with another guy after she realized just what she wants. Is this happening for sure? No, and we do still have to remember that anything could happen.

What do you think is going to happen based on this promo? If you want to check out what Emily had to say in full about the “Men Tell All” special, be sure to visit the story here.
