They are both f up. Troy is Nick’s new addiction. When Nick allucinated Troy when he was in the cage. That sealed the deal for me. They look good together. Hope they survive the season. But I guess they’ll kill troy in the finale. Too good of a character. Shame

Jake and Nick wanted to lead away the horde but said that once the horde turned right there was no help anymore. And directly after that Troy shot the grenade launcher and the horde turned right. So there was no way to lead the horde away anymore.
The death of Jake was an accident. Nick didn’t want Troy to die and acted on instinct by shoving Jake away from him. He never thought that this would end in Jake’s death.
And Nick and Troy actually make sense as Nick still feels guilty about killing his father and he sees a lot of himself in Troy. That’s why they have a connection.
