Want to know when you can see Jax and the rest of the “Sons of Anarchy” on your TV screens again? If so, we have some pretty great news coming in your direction courtesy of Comic-Con in San Diego.
First things first, let’s begin with the basic news — the fifth season of the show is going to premiere on Tuesday, September 11 at 10 p.m. Eastern time. That’s nearly two months for those of you who do need to catch up on what happens. The show’s panel discussion was one of the last at Comic-Con this year, but it included roughly seven minutes of footage from the new season that was reason enough for diehard fans to sit around and wait. There was one moment from the trailer that was blacked out, and it was apparently one of the most graphic love scenes in the history of the show. Here is what showrunner (and fan of mass swearing) Kurt Sutter had to say about this issue right now:
“That was my wife [Katey Sagal’s Gemma] getting f–ked from behind by [guest star] Jimmy Smits. So, with that little tease, I’d show up for the premiere.”
How awkward do you think that this sentence must have been for Sutter to say? Also during the panel, there is one other important piece of information worth mentioning — that Sutter is considering making some sort of prequel series in some shape or form that will give us more in the way of insight in regards to the first nine Sons members. As for whether or not this becomes a TV movie, webseries, or some sort of miniseries attached to the regular show, that is to be seen. Considering how popular this series is, though, we have a feeling FX is going to be giving him just about anything that he wants.
