To be honest, I’d rather Atwater get his own love interest, rather than the new girl who’s going to probably eventually end up with Jay anyway. lol I mean, we all know that’s where it’s going in the long run. It’s pretty damn obvious. There’s literally no reason to pair Hailey up with Jay otherwise. Now that Antonio’s back, it would have made sense to pair him up with Jay. They’ve been friends since the beginning, and Antonio got Jay the job in Intelligence. Hailey could have easily been paired up with Kim, since the former is already a detective. Why else pair Hailey up with Jay, unless you’re going to go “there” eventually? It may not happen right away or even at all in S5. But, mark my words. Down the road, I’d bet the house on it. I would love for Atwater to finally get a love interest. But, not if it’s not going to work out so they can put her with Jay down the line. lol
