We may still be several weeks away from the season 5 finale of “True Blood,” but is there really anything wrong at all with sharing some secrets a little bit early? Deborah Ann Woll certainly doesn’t seem to think so.
In an interview with TVLine that was set before the panel discussion even happened, Deborah Ann Woll — who plays a character in Jessica who is no longer the show’s newest addition to the vamprie family — promised that we would see more in the way of awkward bonding between her character and Rutina Wesley’s baby vamp Tara than what we saw briefly during Sunday night’s episode. In addition, she also feels as though some fans may be misinterpreting why she stopped Tara from doing what she felt was the nasty with Hoyt inside of a bathroom stall — it wasn’t so much out of jealousy as it was fear that she was about to drain his out of his life.
While this information is all certainly valuable, what fans may be find still the most interesting is that Woll is promising a near-constant stream of death and carnage during the finale. How much so? Let’s just use the following line as a reference:
“Our sets were covered in blood … buckets.”
We’re pretty torn about this revelation in all honesty. We will be sad to see any of the faces go on this show, especially the ones that we have come to know and love so much over the course of the past several years. At the same time, does a show really need more than 20 series regulars? It may be time to start phasing out some of the faces that Bon Temps has been slowly stockpiling over the years, if for no other reason than that the show can start to actually have fewer storylines to wrap our brains around. At times, it starts to feel like each character is really only getting half an hour to shine per season thanks to all of the story threads.
Even if you don’t want to see any cast member go, do you think that it is time to see death come to Bon Temps? Be sure to check out some of our other season 5 scoop below, and we welcome all of your thoughts and comments!
