It was clearly NOT New England, Boston, Eastern Seaboard etc…The lighting is different, the architecture is DISTINCTLY different, just like I know there is NO way the grand rooms at Lallybroch match the exterior. I love them BUT it doesn’t line up. They will do well with the cabin in the woods etc…but when I saw the peaked hay stacks (a Bulgarian thang) standing in for Lexington knowing that’s NOT how they did it in the colonies I felt the “location” rather than the story. Also “downtown” Boston looked a bit more Storybook than Declaration of Independence.

SIGH, 1992 Last of the Mohicans was an EXCELLENT example of NC standing in for upstate NY.
