‘The Big Bang Theory’: Melissa Rauch joins Twitter before Comic-Con

Melissa Rauch may have taken her time to officially get a Twitter account, but she at least did a masterful job when it comes to the timing of it. Just days before her show “The Big Bang Theory” is set to return to a place in Comic-Con where it has become a yearly staple, the women behind the brilliant-neurotic Bernadette has made the decision to sign on to the social-networking site.

Thus far, Rauch’s account (which is @ReallyRauch — a shout-out of sorts to all of the fake accounts out there) is turning into a place for some jokes and witty commentary. For a prime example, just look at her first tweet:

“Sorry I’m so late, Twitter, traffic was INSANE (for the past 5 years).”

Despite some of the characters on the CBS sitcom being as technology-savvy as humanly possible, many of the actual actors have not exactly been keen to use much social media themselves. Neither Johnny Galecki nor Jim Parsons have Twitter pages, and despite pleas from many fans, there isn’t really any evidence of them getting one soon. However, the inclusion of Rauch means that all of the other series regulars for the show — including her on-screen husband Simon Helberg (otherwise known as Howard Wolowitz) — are on board the site and tweeting regularly.

Just for some extra laughs courtesy of Rauch, check out the new video below for her new Funny Or Die skit “Patronizin’ You” — which features her showing off some country pipes that we wouldn’t have known were there otherwise. There’s also some cameos in there that fans of the show should recognize.

New episodes of “The Big Bang Theory” will begin airing September 27 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on CBS — to read more of our coverage for Comic-Con related to the show, be sure to hit up the link here.
