In reply to J5fan1. They have worked & are friends for 4 years lets get them a couple already. within a month family dinners, engaged. then married in season 9. Pregnant in season 10. Let the show continue for a few more years. Eddie at family dinners looking forward to that excitement!!!

In reply to Randma. Amen, Randma! Married for 43 years to a man I had known for 7 months. He told me he was going to marry me the night we met. Eddie & Jamie have been going out to eat, to bars, to psychics, etc. for 4 years. They are best friends and I believe they are soulmates.

Speaking as someone who has grown “accustomed” to Blue Bloods glacial speed, I’d welcome the change of pace…. with cheers and pom poms and whoops and hollars!! LOL It’s about time that SOMEBODY changed things up and it would be a pleasantly unexpected thing if it was Jamie instead of Danny. :-)

In reply to J5fan1. I like the way you think... the only change I would like to see would be for the series to do a deviation from today's norm for dating and marriage. Jamie and Eddie have worked together for 4 years. Why should they wait a year or two before marrying?? Why not have them simply move from that friendship straight into an engagement with marriage within a few months? (I speak from personal experience here.. I've been married for 45 years to a man I married 3 months after I met him.) :D

After all the Hulabaloo about what happened on Hawaii Five O, I’d love to know why people aren’t screaming for Donnie Wahlberg and Bridget Moynihan to get the same pay as Tom Selleck. Well? Both of them work as hard as Selleck. The show could be considered an Ensemble cast. Shouldn’t they all be making the same? That was the argument on Hawaii Five O, wasn’t it?

I’d like to see them pose as a couple as part of an undercover sting for a few episodes at the beginning of the season. This would allow things to heat up between them without them actually having to be a couple yet. Then, in the middle of the season, because of their successful undercover work, they both get offered promotions to detective, but only Eddie accepts the job offer. With their work partnership officially over, they are now free to pursue a romantic relationship without breaking any department rules. Before they officially get together though, I’d like to see them both realize how much they miss each other when they don’t see each other everyday; and then, they can track each other down to confess their love for one another. In the season finale, after they have been dating for a couple of months, I’d like to see Jamie invite Eddie to her first Reagan family dinner. Then, when dinner is over and Eddie is distracted with helping cleaning up, Jamie can sneak off without her noticing so he can ask Frank for his mother’s ring back because he is planning to propose to Eddie at some point, but we’ll have to wait until the following season to see when he’ll finally ask her. Then, Jamie and Eddie can get married in the season 9 finale. One can only dream! Lol! :)
