They had a roll in the hay … almost literally in this sense.

Oh please! Demelza was “manipulated” by Hugh, because she wanted to be. In fact, she finally gave in and had sex with him after learning about Ross’ meeting with Elizabeth at a local churchyard. There was no real manipulation on Hugh’s part, because he didn’t have to be manipulated.

Please stop portraying Demelza as some kind of naive dunce in order to avoid calling her out on her adultery. I find it childish.
