CBS fall premiere dates: ‘Survivor: Philippines’ gets 90-minute start

CBS has just announced their full schedule for this fall, and it, like many of their shows at times, is a little predictable. “Survivor: Philippines” is the only series on the schedule to premiere before the week of September 24, even if there are some big changes for “Two and a Half Men” and “The Mentalist” in particular.

Check out the full list of premieres below:

Wednesday, September 19

8:00 p.m. Eastern – “Survivor: Philippines” (90-minute premiere)

Monday the 24th

8:00 – “How I Met Your Mother”

8:30 – “Partners” (new series)

9:00 – “2 Broke Girls” (new time)

9:30 – “Mike & Molly”

Tuesday the 25th

8:00 – “NCIS”

9:00 – “NCIS: Los Angeles”

10:00 – “Vegas” (new series)

Wednesday the 26th

9:00 – “Criminal Minds”

10:00 – “CSI”

Thursday the 27th

8:00 – “The Big Bang Theory”

8:30 – “Two and a Half Men” (new time)

9:00 – “Person of Interest”

10:00 – “Elementary” (new series)

Friday the 28th

8:00 – “CSI: NY” (new time)

9:00 – “Made in Jersey” (new series)

10:00 – “Blue Bloods”

Sunday the 30th

7:00 – “60 Minutes”

8:00 – “The Amazing Race 21”

9:00 – “The Good Wife”

10:00 – “The Mentalist” (new time)

The biggest issue CBS may face with this schedule is that even though they have set up the new series well, “Elementary” is the only one based on the footage we have seen that is almost a sure-fire hit. Meanwhile, we expect “Made in Jersey” to be canceled early unless it improves upon its initial premise. One thing we are pretty confident in, though, is that moving “Two and a Half Men” to Thursdays all but ensures that this night is going to be titanic for the network as they look to not only boost the “Person of Interest” audience, but also set up “Elementary” well.
