We’re not quite sure what it is exactly about this season of “The X Factor,” but the show does seem to be attracting more descendants of celebrities than ever. One year after the grandson of the man who wrote “Rockin’ Robin” in Chris Rene tried out for the show and ultimately ended up placing third, we now can say that descendants of both Gene Simmons and Ray Charles have tried out.
If you want more information of Simmons’ daughter Sophie, check out the story here — but on this occasion, we are going to talk more about the unknown man who is related to one of the women that Charles fathered children with during his life, reportedly someone with an acting career.
While Sophie Simmons at least came on the show with a pretty lengthy reality TV career behind her, we don’t even know this young man’s name just yet — but nonetheless, reports are that Simon Cowell, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, and L.A. Reid all walked away both surprised and impressed by the audition. When you are related to someone widely considered a music icon, it’s pretty fair to say that you are going to be judged at a level that is potentially higher than everyone else. Therefore, you have to be something pretty special to blow these judges away.
Despite knowing a good bit about the auditions for season 2, “The X Factor” still has a number of other things to sort out when it comes to their show — including trying to name their co-hosts for the show and releasing some actual video content to get people excited. The show is set to premiere on Fox September 12, and be sure to head on over to this link if you want some more scoop on what is going on.
