In reply to Carol. I will def still be watching as disappointed as I am losing Grace and Daniel (especially Daniel for me, I just love him!). I really love the cast and the stories they tell. I feel like they are going to be able to find a way to continue to tell good stories and I'm hoping that they can still find a way to keep that family feeling too.

I prefer to be positive. I like the look of the new team members and their back stories open up a whole new batch of possibilities. Danny will have another crazy SEAL to deal with. Adam still around means Kono’s story will continue even if we don’t see her and I bet we hear mention of Chin along the way too. As for people not watching – I bet many will if for no other reason than to complain – human nature.

I think the loss of DDK and GP will cause the ratings to drop. They were very well-liked cast members who had loyal fans from their previous shows that stuck around for them but will likely leave now because of the perceived disrespect from the show/network. People also have to remember that with an older audience, that audience typically isn’t fond of cast changes and I’d say more than a few will drop the show now.

I will miss both Daniel and Grace. I loved how both worked so well with Alex. I had the pleasure of meeting Daniel after his performance of The King and I last year on Broadway. It’s too bad things didn’t work out differently but sometimes change is a good thing. I’m with you – hoping this show lasts however long it can!! Thanks Matt!

In reply to KAD1228. I hope the show performs great! Obviously I love Daniel and Grace, but Five-0 is a great show that brings a lot to people. I have my fears (ratings drops often happen after cast changes), but I'm hoping that it lasts however long it can.

Hi. I think you’re wrong. I feel the show will be fine, the numbers steady and will gather new viewers because of the additions of Meaghan and Buelah. I’m sure many of their following will tune-in to see their favorites (just I like I did 8 years ago when I followed Alex O’Loughlin from Moonlight/TheShield/Three Rivers to H50!) I also don’t think MacGyver (whose numbers were borderline) has anything to do with the success of H50 even as a lead-in and with the same EP. Personally I don’t watch MacGyver on a regular basis (didn’t watch the original either) but tune in specifically for H50. I also feel the target audience for both shows is older. Let’s face it, Friday night at 8 or 9 pm the 18-49 year olds are out partying, dating, dinner, whatever; although the higher end of the spectrum (40-49) might be watching. Unless the younger end (25-35) are married w/kids and home I still doubt they’re watching either show (kiddie TV rules households). It’s the older demographic (read me) the 50-65 year olds who are home on a Friday night watching TV.

Let’s see what happens but I know I’ll be watching along with many of my friends. The reality of a season 9 lies with Alex and how he’s feeling (which seems much better of late making a s9 seem more optimistic. I feel the addition of another SEAL was to take a lot of the burden off him.) I’m looking forward to meeting and embracing the new cast.
