‘The Glee Project’ preview: Jane Lynch talks about fear

On Tuesday night’s new episode of “The Glee Project,” the remaining crop of contestants were on hand to receive some mentoring help about “Fearlessness” from someone who fits the bill rather well — Jane Lynch. It took the actress 49 years to land a role that was as worthy of recognition as Sue Sylvester, and in that time she learned countless other ways to adapt — whether it be by having a sharp sense of humor, thinking on the fly, or taking some big career risks.

During this week’s homework assignment, Jane is going to be putting some of these skills to use as she tried to help the remaining contestants find a place on the flagship Fox series. The gang is actually going to be wrapping their new performance number, and unfortunately the only thing we know for sure is that Nellie Veitenheimer apparently struggles. After all, she tells the confessional that she received the same critique from Lynch that she has received for much of the past couple of weeks — that she does not pop out as much in a group as she should.

Jane also announces to the group that their music video is going to be a mash-up of “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” and “One Way or Another,” which is something that they all seem to be excited about — especially once they find out that slushies are going to be heavily incorporated into the video. Granted, we also have a feeling here that none of these contestants knew that getting hit in the face with one of these things is pretty painful.

Do you think is poised to shine in a rap-themed music video? If you want to see where we think the current crop of contestants stand, be sure to head on over to this link.
