We know now who the twelve new players are who are competing in the “Big Brother 14” house this season — and for them, the competition is set to begin.
According to sources, Saturday is set to be the official move-in date for the newbies and possibly even the four players coming back to the show — a twist that is being referred to at the moment as one where the veterans serve as “mentors” to the new players and compete to win their own prize at the end. While we have been skeptical of various names over the past several days (in particular Dan Gheesling, mostly because he has been trying so hard to act as if he is not on the show), the four veterans being talked about the most at the moment are Dan, Britney Haynes, Janelle Pierzina, and Mike “Boogie” Malin.
There are also rumors that later today, the show is also going to introduce the mentor twist to the houesguests, and they will take part in their first competition. Is it for Head of Household? That would make the most sense, but you also have to remember the show’s motto here — expect the unexpected. It’s possible that there will be a separate competition to determine who is going to mentor each contestant, since we have a feeling that some may be more popular than others. After all, wouldn’t everyone want to work with the winners over Britney and Janelle?
We’re not likely to hear much about the houseguests once they are under lock and key, and in many ways this is preferred — some things are not meant to be spoiled until Thursday night’s season premiere. However, until that time we are going to have plenty of other preview coverage to share — including some more houseguest spotlight articles along with predictions for how the season will go as a whole.
