The numbers are in for Thursday night’s TV lineup, and fans of “Take Me Out” can at least celebrate out thing: the George Lopez series at least went out with a bit of a bang.
Fox – Unless Fox suddenly decides to put the show back on its Thursday night schedule, the 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic for “Take Me Out” will sadly be its last outside of Saturday night. “The Choice” also reaped some rewards for its penultimate episode, as it ended up posting a 1.6 rating that is a marked improvement from last week.
ABC – “Duets” was the only show here that stayed steady, even if it was at its woeful 1.0 rating. “Wipeout” fell following its preiere to a 1.7 rating, and “Rookie Blue” actually ended up rising following its last new episode to score a 1.3.
NBC – How bad is “Saving Hope” doing? Let’s just say that its 0.4 rating would be bad even for The CW. We don’t know how NBC can justify continuing to air this show, even if it is a Canadian production that they didn’t really have to pay for.
The CW – The network may actually be regretting the fact that “Breaking Pointe” is ending. The ballet-themed docuseries was just starting to find a following, and its 0.3 rating and 900,000+ viewers were some of its best numbers of the season. Out of this woeful summer lineup on the network, it may actually have a shot at coming back for another year.
CBS – The Eye was in repeats, but we still felt the need to share that repeats of “The Big Bang Theory” were still the top programs on the night.
