‘American Idol’: Haley Reinhart wants Casey Abrams for album duet

On “American Idol” this past season, some of the greatest moments came when we had an opportunity to see a number of contestants working together — specifically, we are talking on this occasion about Haley Reinhart and Casey Abrams. The two clearly had a great deal of chemistry in their duet on “Moanin’,” and they even had such a strong friendship that for the majority of the season there were rumors all over the place that the two were actually dating (even though they weren’t true).

Now, Haley is saying that she would love to keep working with Casey in the future. Speaking in a new interview from the “Idol” tour’s concert in Nashville, the Illinois-based singer said that she has been working with Casey on getting some music together for some of the original songs she already has, and that she would “love” to have him sing at one point on a solo album.

As for when she is really going to get into the recording studio, she (unlike some of the other contestants this past season) seems to be more than willing to wait:

“I’d rather get it right than to rush it. I’m taking this tour for exactly what it is, soaking it up. I want to be into my recording completely. I’d rather wait till it’s over, if that’s possible.”

How badly would you want to see this duet happen?
