‘Big Brother 14’: First photo released from ‘The Talk’ special

There’s no denying that Thursday has been a pretty big day in the world of “Big Brother 14” — we’ve spilled the beans on some contestants, made first impressions on the full cast, and watched more video footage that we can count. Unfortunately, we have to remind ourselves that we are actually still a week away from any major action unfolding.

One of the events that we are definitely looking forward to leading up to the premiere is the preview special airing on “The Talk” in a week, as it features all five of the ladies (Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler, Sheryl Underwood, and of course Julie Chen) entering the house in what should be a competitive little game for them. Last year, the panel — which at that time included Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete — ended up producing a rather hilarious few segments as the entire group conspired against Chen, and desperately tried to have her evicted from the game due to her encyclopedic knowledge of strategy. It was a great chance to see the competitive side of a woman who fans affectionately call “The Chenbot” due to the robotic way that she reads lines during some of the live shows.

While this in no way a substitute for the actual “Big Brother” game, it is a nice diversion to keep us waiting.¬†Hopefully, Tyler and Underwood will et into the game quickly and have no problem embarrassing themselves to win Head of Household.

So what can you expect from us over the next week? We’re not going to hear much in the way of spoilers thanks to the cast being in sequester, but we will be posting spotlight articles on some of the houseguests that give you a better idea as to their strategy, and how well their personality may actually help or hurt them once the game begins. We will also have our pre-season rankings up by Wednesday evening.
