Hmm I’d rather see him stay off the show. With him on there the show seemed to pull too much focus towards his and Kara’s relationship rather than literally any other character.

Let’s hope so. He was great at first, but the obsession with romance ruined the character. Top much focus on him, not enough on Kara. Good riddance.

In reply to Super24. I don't think they wrote him off. He's dating the lead of the show, I'm sure he's not going anywhere. His pod got pulled to the Phantom Zone, right? I'm guessing one way the show could go is him communicating somehow with Kara and her attempts to rescue him. He is after all, Kara's damsel in distress.

They seemed to do a course correction after the network got wind of how unpopular the character was. I do think they had plans for him down the line, but they were cut short due to his reception. Could Wood come back? Sure, but i think for just a guest star arc at most and then leave permanently. But given that they likely wrote him off because he was unpopular, I doubt it.
