Every Outlander fan, is dreaming of all 10 seasons !! But if I’m realistic, I think that season 4, will be the last. It’s a good place to finish the story, with a happy end **spoilers, having Jamie, meet his son William at the age of 12, finally meet and come close to his daughter Briana and even become a grand-dad **end spoilers. Books 5,6,7,8, and perhaps 9, would be very expensive and complicated to adapt, so if they’re adapted, there should be only the main characters, many changes to the original story line, even abbreviations, meaning 2 books per season of 14 episodes. That is, if the writer, agrees to that, plus given that books 9 and 10 which is the final, are completed and published, before the series -God forbid – start losing spectators and Starz decide to cancel. Too many parameters if you ask me. So I’d go for season 4 being the last and keep my fingers crossed, that we’ll enjoy all books being adapted, just in case.

i know that i have never been as addicted to a show as i am to outlander, and i’m sure i’m not unique in that way. outlander is the only reason i subscribe to starz, in fact. so i definitely vote for 10 seasons!

I think every hardcore fan of the Outlander books and Diana’s writing would LOVE for the TV series to go 10 seasons. However, even die-hard fans know that some of the upcoming books were difficult reads and possibly real challenges for the writers.

I want it to continue to book 10. The best show ever and the best actors. I have never seen an actor who plays as well as Sam Heughan. His has so many face expressions when he acts, the way he shows Jamie’s emotions. Caitriona, Graham and Duncan are also great actors. When I watch other shows, I realize that the actors are not at the same level as Sam, not even close and yet they win awards. Very unfair. Sam should win a Golden Globe, an Emmy and Bafta awards.

I would love it if it ran through season 10, but my sense based on comments from the actors is that the aging might become a issue as Jamie and Claire’s ages start to outpace them. Jamie and Claire will be well into their 60’s going into the next book, and the last book is plotted to end about 1800 — with Claire and Jamie in their late 70’s (Jamie) and early 80’s (Claire).

Anything less than 10 seasons should be grounds for firing someone at Starz. We book fans want more than 10 books and I cannot see them doing less seasons than books. Just look at how long the James Bond or Star Trek series have gone on. When you have the fan base, the only thing that could stop you is to lose Sam & Cat.

Hopefully Outlander will run through season 10! I know that I’m still recruiting people to watch. Given the dedication of the fan base, I would imagine, that others are doing the same. Increasing the ratings can only help to make it happen. HERE’S TO 10 SEASONS?
