Since we are nearing the end of “The Bachelorette” this season, now is the time to try and speculate a little bit on the future of the franchise — in particular when it comes to who could be handing out roses earlier next year. While we already are well aware that Ali Fedotowsky ex Roberto Martinez is one of the primary candidates, there could be a few popular faces from this season who could also star pending that they do not win here.
With that, let’s size up the possibilities that we see Sean Lowe, Arie Luyendyk Jr., or some of the other guys on the show again in the future.
Jef Holm – We can already guarantee you that we won’t see Jef again as a “Bachelor,” mostly because he’s already said adamantly that he has no desire to appear on another reality show after the one he has starred in so far.
Arie Luyendyk Jr. – Arie seems at least a bit more open to the possibility, and he is someone who the show could covet — even in spite of the headlines involving producer Cassie Lambert that were blown way out of proportion. He’s got an interesting job as an IndyCar driver, seems genuinely in love with Emily, and he has that All-American look despite coming from a Dutch family.
Sean Lowe – While he may not be as exciting a choice as Arie, he fits the vein of what the show looks for precisely. He’s good-looking, has no problem going shirtless on TV, and has some religious beliefs and southern values that appeal very much to the show’s core audience.
Chris Bukowski – Even though he went far this season, his expletive-laden exit probably makes this unlikely. Plus, he’s on the upcoming season of “Bachelor Pad.”
Doug Clerget – Out of the contestants on Emily’s season, he’s the last one with a real shot. Would the show really cast two straight single parents, though? While we like Doug, that makes him pretty unlikely.
Kalon McMahon – Just kidding.
