I say Jamie gets to be a detective and here is the twist that goes back to the early days when earns daughter graduates the police academy and Jenkins becomes her trading officer and starts dating Jamie. That way the two girls get more tv time and they get Jenkins into the romance that everyone wants at the same time Erin gets ticked that her daughter becomes a cop.

Jamie is promoted to Detective. Eddie stays on patrol with a different partner, allowing them to date – continue their romantic relationship. Please writers, let’s move toward this.

If their smart they’ll promote them both, and open up a new facet in the NYPD. Jamie has already worked a couple of cold cases for his father and closed them successfully, so if they place the two in that department, with separate partners, they can legally date yet still work in the same department so we can see them working together occasionally. I think that way Eddie can keep up her exposure time in the show as Jamie’s girl, and we will still see the same great working relationship that won our support for them. I agree with Joanne, as much as I love Danny and Linda, I would like to see a bit more of the other family members too. It’s the family relationships that make the show.

I absolutely can not stand this character. The episodes at the end of the season without her were so much better than earlier episodes. I was glad to see less of Jamie also.

Let’s get Jamie and Eddie together in season 8!Season 7 gave us the ” I have feelings for you”, the kiss, the dancing together romantically, “everyone thinking they are together” etc! We Jamko fans need this precious romance to finally get together! They are the BEST! Jamie/Eddie together forever!COME ON!

It would be nice to see them both promoted maybe Jamie to sgt and Eddie to work under the sister DA as her detective, made a couple and give the others more screen time
