The scene of Jamie lying down definitely seems to me to be his awakening after the battle of Culloden.

In reply to Virginia Nino. But I don't remember her going back with the pearls Jamie gave her. Brianna is clearly walking away from what looks like a conversation with Claire. Claire looks like she's reminded of Jamie bc of the pearls, but something else has happened. I think Frank is involved in some way from the direction Claire is looking. Could Frank have told Brianna to give them to Claire to be mean and daddy's little girl prancing away? There are just so many possible scenarios. There are supposed to be many Easter Eggs planted for us in S3. OMG OMG OMG I just cannot wait.

The overall feeling after watching it the first time was astonishment. In a mere 40 secs I was brought back to a very Outlander emotional state I haven’t been in since S3. The feeling that stood out most for me was a deep loss coming from both. Claire was more protected thanks to Jamie and she had her love for Brianna. I think being with Frank only reminded her of what she could no longer have, but it didn’t seem as demeaning as Jamie’s life without her. At that time… I don’t think she could ever love Frank again after being so deeply in love with Jamie. Amazing how it all was there. Again, 40 secs. I almost started to cry when his hand was brushing the heather on what I thought was his return to Lollybrook from Hellwater. Sam is excellent at portraying Jamie. I agree he has a gift with his eyes. From the side he looked like a broken, depressed man unsure of himself, ragged, and withdrawn. This withdrawn depressed state was clearly visible when the blond child hugged him. He was so detached from kindness and shut himself down so that he didn’t know how to react anymore. It was obviously the only way he could survive not only the loss of Claire, but the loss of a feeling of home was to live in a detached state. His eyes were dead except for deep sadness. I even saw a bit of fear as well. Fear of feeling again. This and more in 40 secs. Thank you STARS.

In reply to IM1LuckyWoman. I think you may be right...I was in in 3rd grade and my teacher came into the room very distraught and told us all to put our heads on our desks and she just sat there crying.
