Adam Lambert and Jordin Sparks taking part in new series on The Hub

Over a year after her served as a mentor on “American Idol,” it looks like Adam Lambert is going to get yet another opportunity to show off his skills. for a new series on The Hub.

According to a new press release, Adam is going to be just one of the many stars working to help mentor young artists in “Majors & Minors,” a show slated to appear on the channel (which was formerly Discovery Kids) on September 23 (some other members of the mentoring roster include Colbie Calliat, Jordin Sparks, Sean Kingston, and Mike Posner).  The show features 12 youngsters aged 10-16 who are all working to try and make it big in the recording industry, and the winner will receive the grand prize of a recording contract with RCA/Jive. What makes this show different than others, though, is that no one is actually going to be sent home over the course of the show — meaning that every contestant will theoretically be in contention until the end.

Since Adam is a part of the RCA label, it’s not so much of a surprise to see him on this list to appear on the show — especially since he has proven to have a knack for giving honest and insightful critique. From a promotional standpoint it also works out, since Adam does have a sophomore album coming in the fall.

This also may not be the only time that we see Adam working on a reality show this fall — as we were one of the first to report, all signs point towards him being a judge on “Project Runway” in late September or early October.
