At first, when Marion was driving away, I was really puzzled. I couldn't believe they were changing the story and I began to feel that for the first time in the show's history that it "jumped the shark". But then as soon as Sam entered the hotel room, it hit me as to what they were planning on doing. The more I think about it, the more I love that they changed it up and kept it fresh while at the same time honoring the story and lore. And the inclusion of those classic and infamous shots in the shower scene was a great homage and connection to the story we all know. Well done. Very well done.

Agree with this 100%! I'm sure there are some people complaining but personally found it SUPER smart

I loved the twist! It's understandable that Norman would be thinking how bad Sam Loomis was. Sam really hurt his wife by cheating on her, and Norman's father hurt (physically) his own wife. It makes much more sense that Norman would kill Sam instead of Marion. I like how the writers surprised us viewers in the best way possible!
