‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 3 spoilers: A return for Halloween

Even though “Pretty Little Liars” primarily airs its episodes in the summer along with the winter, there is one other episode that gets an opportunity to shine outside of these times of the year — Halloween. Last year, we saw a delightfully-creepy hour that gave us a look at what life in Rosewood was like back when Alison was still alive — and this year, it also looks as though the show has some spooky moments of its own in store for us.

In a new post on Twitter, one of the show’s writers in Andy Reaser confirmed that not only is there going to be another Halloween special this year, but the show this time around is going to keep the action in the present rather than taking a step backwards into the past. Considering everything that is currently going on, though — in particular the mystery surrounding the identity of the “A Team” — this does not seem to be a bad thing in the slightest.

Unfortunately, fans of “Pretty Little Liars” are going to have to wait for another week in order to find out what is going to happen next on the show this summer — thanks in part to the Fourth of July holiday (and the possibility that fireworks could end up leading to dips in the ratings), there will not be another new episode of the show until July 10. If you haven’t seen a promo for this new episode just yet, you can do so by heading on over to this link.

What do you want to see within this Halloween special? Personally, we’re hoping that it once again captures the spirit of the holiday in between the costumes and the sense of fun — even if there are not that many revelations about who Mona has been working with, we will at least be pleased if we get a few good scares here and there.
