While it’s no surprise that Jennifer Carpenter is teasing something from the seventh season of “Dexter” involving blood — however, what we are a bit surprised to hear her speak in such superlatives about a certain red substance flowing all over the place on the set.
In a post on her Twitter account, Carpenter ahred the following detail that already has us more than a little bit excited about what we can expect to see a few episodes in to season 7:
“Seeing RED!!! This is one of the bloodiest days I’ve seen on Dexter!! We’re out to get you this year!!!!!”
Considering some of the scenes that we have seen in the past from this show — including what the Trinity Killer did on a regular basis and when blood poured all over people’s heads last year — this is really quite the statement for Carpenter to make. What sort of scene could it be? It’s hard to say for sure. What we do know about season 6 is that gentleman’s clubs are going to play a major role, as Ray Stevenson’s character is going to arrive in Miami ready to check out some rather shocking behavior that is happening at his clubs behind the scenes. We don’t know where this will take us, but we are predicting that mob activity may have something to do with all of the blood we are about to see. Stephenson’s Isaac has ties to organized crime, and it’s hard to say what Jason Gedrick’s character of the club manager is going to be involved with.
Season 7 of “Dexter” is set to officially premiere on Sunday, September 30 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern. If you have not caught the newest promo for the show just yet, you can do so by heading over to this link. What sort of blood are you expect to see this season?
