For those of you “Glass House” fans out there who are actually thinking that the show managed to rise in its ratings for the third week, know this — at best, the show probably only ended up tying the numbers that it actually ended up pulling in.
ABC – So what’s the trickery with these numbers? Basically, “The Bachelorette” — which rose to its highest ratings in weeks in a 2.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic thanks to the hometown dates –ended up actually running four minutes into the “Glass House” timeslot. Thanks to this overrun, its high ratings caused a spike in the “Big Brother” knockoff’s numbers. Expect this show to at least drop a tenth of its 1.2 rating when the final numbers are released, and maybe more.
Fox – With a 2.4 and a 2.3 rating in the demo, “Hell’s Kitchen” and “The Glass House” continued to prove that there is really no show out there on TV that is quite as consistent as these two. Gordon Ramsay rules summer on Fox.
NBC – The numbers for “America’s Got Talent” are also deceptive. While it says that the show drew a 2.9 rating for its 150-minute installment, the first half-hour (which was a recap pre-show) caused the number to slide down from what it would have otherwise been. All in all, this should mark a victory for NBC.
The CW – There’s once again nothing new on The CW Monday, but we felt like pointing out that a repeat of “90210” only ended up drawing a 0.1 rating in the demographic. Ouch.
Over the next couple of days, expect to see some numbers plummet as the networks get ready to run some repeats for the 4th of July — a night in which there is going to be next to nothing in the way of new programming.
