It would change too much if he left. The vacuum left by his missing character would begin the shows steady decline. Although leaving out the Fitz and Olivia chemistry has damaged it, too. The 2 strongest dramatic storylines are the Fitz-Olivia love and the transformation of the Huck character. Without them- no show.
